About Bonnie

For Bonnie, music began as a family thing.  Joining her father and sister in the family's polka band at an early age, she grew up criss-crossing the upper midwest each weekend keeping the beat as the band's drummer, and eventually sharing some of the vocals.   When her dad gave her that first guitar, it wasn't long before the songwriting bug bit.

A transplant from the tall pines of central Wisconsin, Bonnie eventually landed in the Minneapolis area where she taught English. Though a dedicated career educator, the passion for music was a constant.  Throughout her years of teaching, she continued to perform with her family's band, as well as performing individually for various special events. After stepping away from her career in the classroom, she shifted her focus and energies back to music, proving that it's never too late to follow your passion.

In 2019, Bonnie was fortunate to meet singer/songwriter Keri Noble, who became a wonderful teacher and mentor and encouraged Bonnie to again find her music roots.  Bonnie continues to write and perform her music in the upper midwest.
